Isotope Science Center cotributes to isotope-related researches in various field, by providing equipment and facilities to researchers at the university of Tokyo. The joint-use research enables researchers to conduct research that would be difficult at the radiation facilities of individual departments.

  • Announcement of Joint Use Guidance for FY2025

    Dear all users of the Center for the next fiscal year

    We will hold the FY2025 Joint Usage Guidance.

    (Doors open at 12:30)
    Place: Lecture Room on the 2nd floor of the Isotope Research Center
                  (Please enter from the North Entrance)

       If you would like to receive a copy, please let us know by e-mail.

    Those who wish to take the course at the Isotope Research Center will only do so if all of the following conditions are met for the subject.

      - Radiation worker whose application for joint use has been approved
      - Radiation handlers belonging to the Center

    The above.

    Joint users must also remember to register other departments in UTRadMS.
    If you have already completed the joint use application and wish to enter on April 1 (Tue.), please complete the registration of other departments by March 31 (Mon.).

    We will inform you when the date of the Joint Usage Guidance will be decided after May.

     Weekly cleaning is scheduled on the week of the scheduled cleaning.
     Please keep in mind that RI usage is prohibited during the scheduled cleaning week as the rooms undergo contamination inspection and decontamination. However, if you wish to use RI in the designated cleaning area after the contamination test, it is your responsibility to conduct your own contamination test and report the results to the Management Office. If you cannot do so, please refrain from conducting any RI experiments. The designated person in charge of receiving materials is responsible for handling this matter.

  • Year-end and New Year's Holidays

    The Center will be closed during the year-end and New Year holidays as follows.

    Friday, December 27, 2024 - Sunday, January 5, 2024

    Management team members will be absent on Friday, December 27.
    RI unloading, re-storage, RI waste pick-up, air conditioning operation, procedures, etc. will be suspended.
    Please request temporary entry to the controlled area and air conditioning operation by Wednesday, December 25.
    Please be careful when using the controlled area during the year-end and New Year holidays.
